Medicine Drum testimonial | Carly

Recently I experienced birthing my very own medicine drum, with the guidance of my amazing Doula Bron. I had felt a calling early in my pregnancy to work with sound & drumming in particular, so when Bron bought her drum to our first antenatal visit, or, opening intention ceremony, the meditation Bron held for me was otherworldly.. and I knew I wanted a drum in my birthing process. 

As soon as Bron said she was planning to hold a workshop, I was already in!! I was grateful to see snippets of Bron birthing her own drum on Instagram, here I witnessed her speaking into what came up for her throughout the process, and how she leant into it all with great trust ultimately, that her drum would be exactly as it was meant to be..

And so I went into the day with a great trust & curiosity at how closely the process would mirror my pregnancy journey, or what could come up in the creative process to show me what might need clearing before baby arrives..

I truly feel Bron was the most amazing guide.. The space was held with such ease and flowed effortlessly.. we were provided everything we needed to create & weave our own beautiful medicine throughout the day.. Along with Bron’s beautiful, patient guidance & encouragement, I also felt there was not 1 hint of judgement in our circle .. we honoured the kangaroo spirit with respect & gratitude 🙏

As divine timing had it, I had my very own drum at my mother blessing & will have my own drum during the birth of our 2nd baby.. and now I wait in trust for his or her arrival ! Thank you Bron!!
